Hi, I'm Steven — the heart and hands behind Missionary Mosaic. When our daughter left on a mission, I felt the familiar mix of pride, excitement, and the quiet ache of counting down the days for her return home. My wife wanted something more meaningful than a paper calendar on the fridge — something that could hang on a wall, spark conversation, help our younger children feel connected to her and remind our family of the sacred work happening far from home.

That's how Missionary Mosaic was born. What started as a personal project became a small business built on one simple belief: missionary families deserve something beautiful to connect them while they wait.

What Is a Countdown Mosaic?

A Missionary Mosaic is a custom countdown calendar unlike anything you've seen at a gift shop. Each mosaic is made up of individual stickers — one for every day or every week of your missionary's service. As the days and weeks pass, families remove stickers to uncover a meaningful image underneath: a missionary portrait, or a family photo designed just for them.

It's not just a calendar. It's a connecting experience. A reminder that the work is progressing, the end is coming, and your missionary is doing something extraordinary.

How the Custom Process Works

Every mosaic is made to order — which means it's made for your missionary, not pulled off a shelf. Here's how it works:

1. You place your order and share your missionary's details — name, mission area, departure and return dates and your preferred photo. 
2. We design your mosaic with care, incorporating your selections into a one-of-a-kind layout.
3. We send you a proof  to approve before we send it to print and lamination.
4. We handcraft and ship it directly to you, ready to hang and begin the countdown.

Because each piece is custom, please allow time for production. We'll keep you updated every step of the way.
